Peter Beard

Peter Beard turned his life into a work of art — and this is the most complete record of it. Taschen's XL monograph gathers Beard's extraordinary collages of photography, ecology, and illustrated diary writing across 770 pages, tracing his decades between New York and Africa, his witness to Kenya's ecological crisis, and his collaborations with Francis Bacon, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, and Truman Capote. The original limited edition sold out instantly; this is the edition the rest of us have been waiting for.
