In Iwaki, in the northernmost area of Japan, hinoki cypress grows wild. The delicate aroma of fresh evergreen with a whiff of citrus is preserved in these pencils made from its wood. Made by a venerable chopstick manufacturer in operation since 1885, they are unvarnished for a wonderfully smooth and earthy feel. With any luck, their simplicity, understatement and sophistication will seep into your writing. Six unsharpened 2B pencils are presented in a triangular box.
