Hand-embroidered in Marseille, this set-of-four linen placemat from artist-designer Sarah Espeute is part still life, part table setting, and entirely too chic to be tucked away in a drawer. With delicate linework that sketches out an imaginary meal, say, a plate of peas and carrots, it turns any breakfast, lunch, or solitary sandwich into a tableau worth lingering over.
